Intel leads 2024 tech layoffs, but sector lays off 43% less year over year

Intel, a company which featured more downs than ups in 2024, led the tech sector in layoffs with approximately 15,000 employees let go during the year.

However, the total number of tech workers terminated declined by 43% year over year, down to 150,034 in 2024 compared to 264,220 in 2023, according to data by tech layoff tracker Layoffs.fyi as of December 27.

He is kind of right though. There work led to a dying Intel. They can’t honestly be proud of the careers based off that state of Intel and how they left it
