Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

UnitedHealth is not unique.

They do the same exact thing as all other health companies. We’ve all heard the stories of someone needing coverage or help and they are given enough of a run around to get frustrated and just give up and keep paying out those premiums.

Let’s face it, the less UH pays out and the more they draw in, the more profitable it is for UH upper echelon for their bonuses, raises and stock awards, not to mention what the board gets. So, THIS is the effort. Stonewall the customers enough to where the payout is minimal and remind them that they need to have insurance.

Oh, the UH lawyers are good, really good. They know all the right jargon and all the right small typed phrases to use to cover themselves. UH is well covered under a blanket of legal small print.

THESE are the reasons why congress is mulling over revamping the insurance coverage along with scrutinizing more closely the books that UH has.

There’s only so much:
“Ha, ha, we may be operating in the grey area but its legal and we are making a ton of $ while everyone who’s paying into the system is getting the least coverage possible.”
That people are willing to take. As you can see, UH isn’t laughing so hard right now anymore.

Yep, UH is honest across the board. They have never encouraged mis diagnosis nor have they ever pushed back consistently on legit medical claims in hopes that the customer’s give up and don’t follow through.

I don’t think poster truly works at UHG. Or at least in a department that has direct relations to our members. We see processing errors of course but denial of claims is totally not the norm. If you really felt you were harming people, you shouldn’t be working here

UHG started this mess and now all other Payers are following the same playbook as it’s profitable as he-l for Wall street. UHG took the “care” out of healthcare.

Yeah, I’m sure the mega negative posts over UH overall effectiveness is just a mirage. Its all just a big misunderstanding and every single person complaining about it is all just wrong. UH is 100% on top of things. I know so because I saw an UH advertisement that said it was, that’s all the proof I need.
