Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Qualcomm needs huge lay offs in upper management.

Includes principal or staff engineers then directors and VP. Majority of them are not doing anything instead minting money. We can run the companies more efficiently without them.

I know quite a few of them (not in SD) are just attending meetings and giving some trivial comments so that their names can be added to the patent applications being discussed. Some of them are good at holding overtime meetings and brainstorming for nothing and contributing nothing twice a week. So despicable

no customer is alienated. apple replaced all suppliers for high cost high value components with in house production.

Starting layoffs with 50% of principal and above titles might be a good idea, but would it really help? The core issue is the management's lack of direction and deep-rooted corruption. No other company is as bad when it comes to employees, suppliers, and numerous business failures. And let's not forget, Q has also alienated too many key customers."
