Thread regarding Ford layoffs

H1b abuse at Ford

After seeing the H1b debate on twitter made me think how abusive and prevalent this visa scam is at Ford. I see Indian managers who only hire other Indians on h1b and discriminate against others. Should H1b visa be stopped for companies who lay off American workers?

Vise-lab should be recognized in reference to H1B's.

Most Indian leadership I have dealt with at Ford are low key racist and give preferential treatment to their own kind. Even the bullsh-t job postings due to H1B requirements that the position is already decided and US born citizens don’t even have a chance to interview for it. Ford then claims there is no talent out there to fill the position. It’s all BS and just a ploy to keep cost down and freeze US born citizens out of opportunity. Thank you Boomers and GenX for all your guilt indoctrination and slamming the door on your own kind. Enjoy this hellscape of a country you have created because I for one am not going to bail your as--s out when the stakes are dyer. Have your H1B friends take care of you. Oh right, they never gave a sh-t about you anyways and don’t care if you are alive or dead. You reap what you sow.

We are saturated with H1b visa to the point new graduates cannot even find jobs in their field and the new administration wants to lift whatever cap there is to bring in more H1b visa holders to replace Americans and lower the cost of engineering jobs. I think people don't realize how dangerous this is to the everyday American way of life. We will be reduced to live in tiny apartment complexes and work for peanuts with mass immigration this new admin is proposing just look at what happened to Canada. I seriously hope trump admin takes serious action AGAINST the H1b visa abuse which has hurt the American middle class greatly where we are in constant fear of layoffs by companies like Ford only to be replaced by cheaper foreign H1b visa holders. Who is going to fight the next war for America?? Not the H1b visa holders that's for sure.

H1b displaces Americans and should be reported as National Origin discrimination. There are two important cases that have won recently that should serve as a warning for companies that hold anti-American views.

Please give a call to the lawyer who successfully sued Cognizant. Dan Kotchen gave a detailed interview about Cognizant and said he would like to hear from more people if they are seeing h1b abuses. I recommend watching the interview.

One thing to pay attention to is when companies use mass layoffs to push out Americans then put out job ads in newspaper inorder to submit green cards applications for the foreigners. You can report this to the Department of Labor if you are apply and find that they don't respond back, or if you can find that there was no actual job in the system. I believe there is a monetary reward for reporting this.

Last thing to consider. When you look at the job postings for software engineer in India they are recruit and hire not engineering degrees, but Engineering Technology degrees (B.Tech). This B.Tech is the equivalent course structure of a Devry degree, but in the U.S. they recruit bachelor Engineering of degrees or beyond from universities. A B.Tech is not the equivalent of a U.S. university degree as defined international agreements by Washington and Sydney Accords.

Right now is high time that companies are pushing anti-American policies and are leaving themselves wide open for lawsuits that the companies have been loosing in court. If you see something, don't miss the chance to make them pay.

H1Bs benefit tech companies on two key fronts:

First, on average, H1B workers are paid significantly less than their American-born counterparts. This effectively puts downward pressure on wages across the industry, meaning American workers also get paid less;
Secondly, because the visa is attached to the sponsor company, the foreign worker lacks the leverage afforded to American-born workers who can demand higher salaries by simply looking to take a job with a different firm.

Look at the list of Ford’s preferred outsourcing companies and compare it to the list of H1B mills. The overlap will not shock you.

Why should I feel as though I work at an Indian company in my own country?

I hope the children of all these far more brilliant and educated new immigrants are going to fight America’s wars, because mine are no longer available for the job.
