Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

This is not normal

I wish all of Cargill knew about this site so all staff knew some of what really is going on. Unfortunately there is still a large number of people who think they are working for the old Cargill and will until it starts to impact them. We know the ELT is reading this and HR and McKinsey are just telling them this kind of anger and frustration is normal for a layoff and will improve soon. What has been going on at Cargill for 2+ years is not normal. Cargill ELT flipped the script to a transaction based employer-employee relationship and exploited and gaslit people the last couple of years without being transparent. It took a layoff like this to reveal broadly there is no loyalty and the toxic org that Cargill has become. 3rd parties are reporting all over the world who Cargill really is and the foundation of corporate greed now prevalent. That kind of reporting and anger is NOT normal.

Cargill is being advised by McKinsey who notoriously does not live by its own values. I mean, are we still surprised?

What violation? The only type of violation I’ve seen is A MORAL one. Trust me when I say, they won’t last long at competition’s business who run a tight ship not a sinking one

It would be good for all to see the postings here and how people feel. I don’t think the leadership or ELT cares. I saw this in my team. The updates were impersonal and outsourced. They are created by a third party comms agency McCanns, so more waste of resources and not thinking like an owner. Evidently, it’s not hit the mark as they are saying classic stuff one says in this instance but none of it is genuine. Like the townhalls nothing was well received especially the from this to that total made up BS. I’d be surprised if they turn things around my area is still so multilayered and disconnected every where. An organisation that doesn’t live by its values (like empty stuff they say about caring and people) is doomed nevertheless so the tide is turning for sure. They can enjoy their highly paid jobs for bit longer than those who left, but there ain’t gonna be bonuses for a while not so mention job security, progress or satisfaction
