Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I wish I was laid off

This year brought an unexpected realization: I envy the ones who were laid off. Leaving Fiserv might have been the blessing they didn’t see coming. They get to focus on rebuilding and taking control of their future. Meanwhile, those of us left behind are stuck with fewer teammates, fewer resources, and skyrocketing demands. The result is less time for family, less happiness, and almost no balance in our lives.

Positioned myself to be laid off after direction of my original Fiserv team became clear after the 'merger', took a couple years of enduring maintenance only mode, but finally happened. Was fortunate enough to land another, better job immediately and walk away with almost 6 months of severance. Couldn't
have asked for better holiday/New Year. I wish everyone the very best of fortunes dealing with Fiserv.

No one is stuck anywhere. You are in full control of your life. No one is stopping you from looking for another job or just up and quitting if you feel that unhappy.

You have a choice. Leave. The layoffs are part of life at Fiserv since FirstData and Frank took over. I left on my own. There are much better work environments, with better pay. You will be happy YOU took control of your career. Dont play the victim.

Working at fiserv in money network has been so miserable the customers are very rude and demanding I wish I got laid off bc being here is so stressful I’m not happy here . Jan 22 would make a year and I’m looking for an exit strategy ! The only good that came from working here was my supervisor he is no longer with the company ! Now I have a new supervisor who is a micro manager I really hope to find something else this place is horrible

Fortunately, those of us left behind here have "Sapience Buddy" and strict RTO policies to ensure we're keeping Frank's stock prices high for his exit. 🖕

I've experienced both. I watched most of my team go, and then I was laid off. Your assessment is correct. It is better to be laid off.

This has been said before but bears repeating: get yourself on the list for the next round of layoffs. Tell your boss you volunteer and that it will help them look good for paying tribute. Get whatever they’re paying in severance before they reduce it again, get 6 months of healthcare (optional but could be necessary.) Don’t let anyone tell you there is no list.
