Is it run by Macy's or a liquidator? Will they xfer some product to other stores?

The majority of beauty and jewelry department gets transferred back to the warehouse as well as a lot of the designer brands unless they were marked down before the liquidation started.
It’s fairly a quick process after you find out the location is going out of business. The liquidators come maybe two days later and survey the store and stockrooms to see what will be sold. They have a a discount schedule they follow based on how quickly things sell. The first sale was 30% so like our friends and family sale, then it started going 40, 50, 60 on up to 99% the final day. Everything in the building can be sold down to the ink pens and printer paper so take your personal items home before they get a price tag slapped on them.
I remember going thru store closure. The day after we were told about the store closing 2 weird guys came checking out stockrooms and fixture invetory.. turns out they were the liquidators.
The one I was in was taken over by a liquidator. They sent 2 people that were literally running the store, telling us what to do. There were floor moves and sale sets every other day. We didn’t transfer any goods but other stores were instructed to send their penny merchandise for us to sell… the entire process was a nightmare!
