Macys plans to announce 65 closing on Wednesday, 01/08/2025. Liquidation sales will start Monday, 01/13/2025 and will run approximately 10 weeks. The 65 closing stores are expected to officially go dark on Sunday, 03/23/2025.

So where is the closing stores list that they are supposed to release today?
no inventory no go foward it says it in the portal for closing store and you will be notified week one jan.
If your store hasn't been getting ready for inventory, well that's a pretty good sign your gonna close!
As a store employee, you should dig around a little more. These dates are accurate and not a secret, this is the way it is done almost every year. Plus, all details of closing (except store names) are posted on the portal.

May I ask where you got this information? As an in store employee I haven’t heard even whispers about it, although I know they keep these things very, very under wraps.
My store was in the original 50 store closure line up, and now I’m wondering how much the ‘if we make sales we’ll stay open longer, etc’ lines they fed us were true or just talk to get employees to stay.
