Thread regarding Optum layoffs

I’m not grateful for my job

Nobody should be. A job is neither a gift nor a handout. We all work hard and it’s us who create value, actually earn the money for the company, and get just a minuscule fraction of earnings in return.

I'd like to be happy at this job, but no matter how hard you and I work we can't make a difference, there's always some dipsh-t in a suit a few levels above us who makes the most baffling decisions and is doing everything they can to fu-k this company up based on meaningless numbers on some stupid report somewhere.

UHG is getting into low income housing. For those thousands who have been displaced during layoff or large medical debt, well maybe you be able to get a low income subsidized apt.
