Thread regarding CVS layoffs

I left and never looked back

I’m so glad I did. If you’re still at CVS, it might be time to consider finding something else. I approached it with one simple thought: can it really be worse than it already is? Once I realized that, the answer was no, it couldn’t get much worse, that was all the courage I needed to leave. It’s been six months now, and I’m doing so much better, especially mentally. I can honestly say I made the right choice.

My ex boss was effectively useless, but talked enough buzz terms and sounded like they knew what they were doing. In reality, them letting me go was exactly what I needed and in hindsight, wanted.

I left 6 months ago. Had some fears when starting my new job. But now I get to make a difference in people’s lives and not chase numbers for corporate and DL’s. Not to mention the disrespectful as@@@@@@ that you have to deal with! Best decision I ever made to leave CVS. Good luck to all!

I’m with the OP on this one. Left the org 13 months ago and it was the right choice for me. I did have second thoughts, nightmares, and anxiety during my transition. Leaving steady known employment for something else is a huge challenge, even with a solid exit plan, and it is not possible for many people. Don’t judge those who choose to stay, but let everyone know options exist and they are worth respect, true leadership and pay that reflects their contributions.

I posted to let people know that there are so many better options. I worked with so many folks who stayed because they had the "better the devil I know" mentality. I thought knowing that it gets better would be a positive thing. I'm sorry if it was taken the wrong way.

Posts on the CVS site

Obviously, OP is looking back and obsessing about everything going on in the company.

@oou+1w8iJ7uR Because it’s a nice ego kick to see people who did you wrong- rotting in CVS. If you care about your mental health or career or even basic speaking and comprehension skills— LEAVE CVS. You become what you’re around
