1: AP will leave out cash, gift cards on register
2: AP will leave stuff in stock rooms . earings. Iphone headphones, jewelry , cash
3: AP will leave stuff on chairs like in women shoes to see if you take it
4: Making too much money? AP is going to try to set you up
5: Fake customer complaints . email letters, google reviews . Most likely its your manager writing in or AP teaming up with your store manager or dept Manager

if you been there a while they are getting emails from corp to find a away to get you gone while they replace you with a nit wit do nothing kid

and before you get on your soap box and say this doesn't happen..

Pffft… this sounds so ridiculous. Unless said employee is so stupid that they are blatantly taking money out of the register, or doing fake overrides, or handing out merchandise to friends… they don’t have the time to be messing around with the little things. Also,.. I find it interesting that A.P. leaves waaaay before store closing… when most shoplifters walk in 7 minutes before store closing to load up because they know it’s a skeleton crew and a free for all…
BTW… when I find a dollar… maybe a $5.00… maaaybe more… I turn it in…. I turn it in to my wallet! Seriously, who calls up 2 days later asking if anyone found their $2.00!

I have to agree with the last post. I’ve been in Macy’s doors for 35 yrs. AP hasn’t done anything that extreme in a LONG time. With staffing these days, they’re lucky to be able to just monitor the screens. If you think they’re planning elaborate “gotcha” schemes, you’re dreaming.

that’s unethical and against ap policy.

you act like we have endless amounts of time to do anything. picture a couple person team that has to actively monitor all customers in a multi level store and is expected to fight people when they try to leave while also having to conduct audits & inspections across the entire store, and still also have to find internal dishonesty despite being slammed in all other areas with ancient technology (90s era) that WE are the support for. I cant tell you the amount of times I’ve been 25ft up in the ceiling tiles trying to track down cable some detective placed there 20 years prior.

and ap is penalized for shortage not for customer feedback. that is 100% on your manager’s side.

all this sounds like is that you or your friend did something wrong, got caught, and now you’re upset because of the consequences.

Have you noticed that all long term associates are being replaced with a minimum wage under 30 minority who can’t speak English, is from the ghetto, or wears a scarf around their head

No one has time to do this. AP at my stores are too busy catching shoplifters than planting stuff to get random employees fired…

So what happens if an employee finds money and turns it in? Are they fired? No?

Or, what if a customer takes the money? Does AP run out from hiding and take it back? No?

Seee how stupid this all sounds?

Making too much money as in doing their job? If the till gets too full managers pull the money. If someone goes over in hours they say “hey yeah don’t do that” and that’s that.

If it’s an iPhone or AirPod anyone with half a brain knows they’re connected to find mine making them useless. And they’d be turned in.

I misplaced an AirPod last year at work. AP and a few leads helped me look for it. Were they setting me by helping me look for it??!?!? Again, no.

Maybe seek professional help because your levels or paranoia are concerning. Best of luck to you…
