Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Either the MD’s don’t have the ability to hear themselves or are really clueless.

Past MD comments during TH meetings.

  1. “Well the good thing about laying off as many times as we have is that we’ve gotten better at it.”

This is a crazy MD comment. Normal MD’s in other companies look at layoffs as a problem. They look at it as an unfortunate step to address bad strategic decisions from the past but not here, not at Citi.

  1. “Get off of the train” then later by the same person “We recognize that we have an issue retaining talent and we are taking steps to address that”. LOL, classic Jane.
  1. “We are a bank, we are in the business of making money by handling money. This is what we do, we go where the money is. Its the nature of a bank.”

then later by the same person in the same TH

“I know other companies are hiring and are offering more money but don’t chase the money”.

This is so true. Almost every TH is like this. It does not inspire confidence thats for sure.

Low caliber is the right word - no ethics no character. No concept of data driven decision making.

Most of the MD positions are over rated and they don’t have basic product delivery skills and management skills. Some of the MDs bring their own folks as employees or consultants

It's the second one.
At $hittybank they are really Clueless and Oblivious because they're Dvmb as Fvck, and Low Caliber ("Intelligence", professionalism, work ethic, work experience, you name it) compared to $hittybank's envied Competitors!
