Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Even Investors Are Fleeing...

Stock at all time low today.. no way in he-l that there won't be 5000+ layoffs in qtr 1 2025... if you are still working here, i suggest you stop all work tasks and focus on finding a new job... don't be a fool: this company is heading for total disaster..

There is no emergency plan. There's the attempt to change the narrative on the PBM with a 'better' pricing model and hopes Washington will buy it. PhRMA has to love the attention not on them (directly) for a change, and they support whatever PBM reform looks like. And the fate of the PBM is just one factor among many. There's just too much uncertainty.

No. One. Has. A. Plan. Get a grip on reality.

The debt covenants are the big concern right now. Cvs has almost no collateral anymore...dividend WILL be cut, just a matter of time. Cvs can't afford 3 billion in payouts when they're bleeding money. It's Walgreens all over

The $43 in 2012/2013 that CVS stock was worth is before CVS bought Aetna in 2018. Aetna had its own separate stock back then. If you split the two, both would have lower value than that same time period, so the apples to apples comparison in value might be before 2012/2013.

Things in PBM world will change. But by how much or how fast no one knows.
Investors dont like uncertainty and with just about all of Washington calling PBMs the sithlord of healthcare...its not good.

I'd hate to be the one cobbling together q1 earnings call ( q4 will already be poor just because it takes a long time to improve numbers) i think any logical investor knows that but if we keep putting out misses in 2025..eww brother eww

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from the historic data I'm looking at, the last time CVS's stock price was at $43 was 2013.

There's gotta be a price level that if the stock drops below that it'll trigger some kind of emergency plan from corporate. Don't know what that price level could be. But the way things are going the stock will be in the 30's pretty soon. Not good
