I haven't been here long but one thing is sure, if this company ever had a solid reputation, it’s shot now. I wouldn't care normally, but it's creating issues with my job search. I am getting convinced that having Visa on my resume is actually hurting my prospects. Or I could just be paranoid, but I doubt it.

Visa was good. Now this id--t Ryan who is from marketing with Sell Sell Sell is driving a tech company to the ground.
Rajat does not know a thing about technology. Teams are faking numbers for him just to make him happy. To maintain his 9999999 he overspent by billions. Could have achieved same goals with much cheaper solves. But he is an id--t. Only care about the 999999 and not the cost.
Between the R^2 Ryan and Rajat, Visa is gone busted.
Wall Street should go Sell Sell Sell that stock !
Run away. I was laid off recently and I have been told twice now that nobody likes Visa in the industry and that Visa people really do not know how to sell. It’s no longer the place it used to be. And it comes with a bad reputation. Culture is now truly rotten, and top management (Antony, Chris, Oliver, Charlotte, Ryan, Kelly, Rajat etc.) only think about their bonuses and value of Visa shares to become richer.
I had only received outstanding/outstanding for all yearly reviews as an engineer until FY24 when I had my first child. Suddenly that year after taking my allowed bonding leave, I am given a needs strengthening across the board, and my manager directly cited the fact that I was uninvolved with my work due to the leave I took?? Sounds illegal to me, but I'm sure Ryan and Rajat know that but their millions in insider sales speak louder for now.
It is disheartening to hear the same line used on me pre-pandemic….”too bad you’re not black like me, you’d be able to sue” was recently used on a SD applying for a VP position by the same SVP…resulting in a package to reduce the 55 and over white male crowd. I mean hey, we all knew adjustments were needed, but at what point does the pendulum go too far. Deep pocket packages to try to avoid litigation only goes so far.

..."They acquired another very successful European fintech.." you mean currencycloud?
Even in Poland it's suffering. They acquired another very successful European fintech business and laid off everyone in a blink. Super toxic environment that favors indians and africans over locals. They make sure to direct HR to hire those and reject all white people (mainly males). It's a disgusting company overall, that embraced the animalistic slave work ethics of 3rd world countries, is working along the local and global governments to reverse engineer the blockchain into CMDBs and hurt people on a global scale. Get out while you still can. Don't carry that cross.
Not only that displacing Europeans and USA (London, Germany, Austin, SF, FC, etc) relocating jobs to Poland.
VISA hires Indians from India on H1b and outsources jobs to India. So where are we Americans supposed to go and do?
Ryan and Rajat (an Indian originally) should be penalised.
I have lodged a complaint against VISA; Ryan and Rajat. And we are getting a law suit in proceeding.
At least, make a complaint to Dept of Labor.
VISA is doing excellently yet their greed makes them farm jobs offshore.
I heard from a colleague who got laid off is pregnant and she had a good performance review all the time, even she told she is pregnant during her meeting with VP still she was laid off. Its not she is the only one for that role there are many others why cant they choose others and leave her. She is on H1B and had 60 days to find new job in this tough job market during her pregnancy. Very disheartening and unethical.
Unethical and corrupt hiring practices often pave the way for financial misconduct.
I will happy new year to everyone...
Agree. Over the years the place has become rotten where nepotism and unethical hiring practices are normalized and lot of unqualified people were hired/promoted while hard working straight sho-ter types were sidelined, harassed and laid off. This company should be investigated for discriminating against Citizens in favor of low cost h1b employees.
visa was great company till this greedy frat boy Ryan McInerney became CEO. Now visa wants to outsource ll their jobs to Latin American and India. All his cronies like Rajat and others are too scared to prevent that. Get out of there as soon as you can.Or migrate to South America or India if you want to work in IT. Visa thinks AI can do all the work so big fat Board of Directors can smooch off big money.
Visa used to rank amongst top companies to work for.
