If Xerox takes over Lexmark, it sounds like they’ll probably keep things running the same for now since their operations work well together. In the long run, Xerox might actually grow Lexmark using their resources since Lexmark is a solid brand, already worked with Xerox before, and focuses on cool growth areas like IoT and work-from-anywhere tech that Xerox isn’t big on.
Now, if Broadcom bought Lexmark, it’d be a totally different story. They’d likely fire most of the employees (like 70% of them) and just squeeze as much cash as possible from the top 10% of Lexmark’s users with some crazy subscription plan that would make HP’s fees seem cheap.
