There’s so little, if any, effort to improve conditions in the stores and revive the company as a whole, that my impression is that we will all be left to hang in the air. I don’t expect anything in the near future but more layoffs and store closures. I hope I’m wrong, because I’ve liked working here - a veteran, really - primarily due to my team, who have been great people and colleagues. Sounds crazy, but I still like coming to work every day. I guess I’ve been lucky that way.

To me, Macy's has sh---y leadership people, and it's never going to get better. Everyone in corporate is delusional, and no one knows what they are doing, and they spin trying to find the "Hero" item. Also, instead of departments working together, they fight to show some sense of dominance.
In stores, they try to push fragrances onto customers, and now they want to push footwear by adding more colleagues. I never shopped at Macy's, and I never will after they burnt me out and assigned me to a sh---y manager.
I hope things will get better.
