Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

What did you think of Matt’s call?

Thoughts on Matt call to the Employees. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect as the meeting had been rescheduled multiple times. Based on their past performance, I halfway expected to get a call prior to the meeting to lay me off. I honestly would not have been surprised as being so close to a holiday and seems to be the theme of this heartless regime.

Matt went into a deep apology mode over misspeaking on the most recent layoffs. The majority of the audience has become numb to the explanation’s as we all know we are just a number as loyalty is a thing of the past. Rest of the call was just blah blah and more blah. Lots of nothingness.

It is entertaining to read the slido comments. I don’t believe for a minute that it’s anonymous as we log in from our computers. Duh! I noticed a few su-k up comments to Matt.- you’re sad. The ketchup comment was random and amusing. Matt did address the car breaking at the Polaris location which shouldn’t be a surprise. Who builds an office next to a mall that has had multiple shootings? Just another genius move by Fiserv.

Agreed about shell of former self. As someone who has known him since his first day...it's a bit appalling. He truly cannot be authentic with his teams due to his own leadership. I also hope he is job searching. He's a great person who deserves to be a leader at a company that truly cares and where he will flourish being himself.

I thought the meeting went well, and it was somewhat informative. I appreciated that he was vulnerable with us in offering an apology that he was not required to issue.

I can only hope that we continue to get more information shared with us in the upcoming weeks. The first six months of next year are going to have lots of changes and FB's departure is just the tip of the iceberg.

He is a shell of his former self. There is a reason he didn’t do the Q&A live and ended the call 10 minutes early. He can’t be authentic anymore. He needs talking points for all the policies he struggles to back. I hope he’s job-seeking like the rest of us. He could be running a company that respects the people who make it successful.
