CVS Health announced Friday it will lay off 164 employees who report to the Hartford headquarters of its insurance division Aetna, all of them remote workers.
The employees affected are assigned to the Aetna headquarters at 151 Farmington Ave. in Hartford, with job cuts starting on Feb. 15.
A total of 1,212 jobs have been cut at Aetna since August of 2023 as the company aims to cut expenses by $2 billion as it struggles in the health insurance sector.
