My company interviewed a lot of Google engineers. They are good coders but are lacking in systems designs and behavioral skills.
Two years ago I told management it's not that easy to replace experienced consultants.
They shrugged. I can see my position advertised for the last 6 months. NYC. Still

Some geographies overdone it with a natural attrition.

My former gcp product team got rid of good people two years ago. Still didn't get a decent substitute. L6
We are interchangeable but like for like not with colleague graduates.
