Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

New CEO, same as old CEO

MJ insults a whale.

I mean, it's probably true... but you don't go around insulting the people that could save you.

Yet ANOTHER reason IFS will fail.
Too many conflicts of interest.

Arrogance + incompetence (Oregon is center of universe and Atom CPU is best. LOL!) = deadly combination.
Atom CPU team shd be disbanded! Nobody cares about CPU performance anymore!

This is a systemic culture of arrogance.
The customer does not matter to Intel at all.

What MJ said is true.
But for gods sake, don’t blurt it out in a public investment forum. Qualcomm is a potential giant customer for IFS. You need to STFU and just execute.

Free advice to ELT.
STFU and just execute.
Results should speak for themselves.

Michelle is just saying that the arm cpu would work much better if intel was foundry vs tsmc.

The more MJ opens up, the more I find here enduring, no BS corporate speak, says layoff instead of acronyms, amidst the honest truth (behind the competition), sugar coats nothing but provides a hopeful vision and I believe is a good choice. Put her in the front of Intel products, put Naga at the front of foundry, and cut out the rest of the corporate boondoggle of Intel. There are very few people who would be qualified to run the current combined Intel(someone from Samsung?). Its arguable that no one should as they are very different businesses. It is well past the time for a split, get the company in some sort of continued partnership but untether the 2 and try to find a way to survive now, and hopefully thrive and perhaps win in the future. The only other path is complete dissolution with Intel being sold for parts.

power efficiency is a nice thing, but when you need performance for demanding tasks like video editing, heavy gaming, or complex simulations, x86 are always the choice
