Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

We’re losing our edge

The rate at which skilled people are leaving is alarming, and it’s hitting us hard. Staying competitive is already tough, but if this trend doesn’t slow down, the outlook for the next five years is grim. Watching so much talent slip through the cracks feels like setting ourselves up for failure, and it’s tough to see a way forward without addressing this problem now.

The only people left at Q are the ones that played politics and ki$$ed @ss. Pure and simple. You look on Linked, and you see Q trying to hire people with the skills they lost due to people leaving the toilet.

Talented and resourceful individuals have been proactively seeking opportunities to exit early with a generous package while positioning themselves for better careers. If you ask around, you'll hear plenty of success stories. A common strategy is to downplay your true abilities, ensuring your boss sees you as non-essential. The real question then becomes: what will happen to Q after your smooth and rewarding departure?"

After all, the Q management thinks everyone is ultimately replaceable.

Well, the corrupt management only cares about keeping their position, they already moved a lot of positions to India, the remaining US talent will eventually leave to greener pastures. There will be just corrupt managers and their dogs in the US. Q will go the Intel way very soon.

Do you think exec management or hr care? Nonstop layoffs only perpetuate the issue. They don't care! Repeat after me, the beatings will continue until morale improves.

No need to worry,
I have seen folks going out of the Q and returning back with the gained experiences. Q welcomes such talents.

Addressing this problem involves firing 2/3 of management. The corrupt Indians who have hired half their village and brought them to U.S. and also the Chinese who keep hiring their friends and family members through means of bypassing the proper interview process. The company has lost its path by allowing unethical gangs to take over. It's quite a toxic dump.
