I left Fiserv for a job that was not a step up but it gave me freedom.
Everyone has to do what they need to do to support their family and other obligations.
Please choose what is right for you.

Congratulations @rbu+1w0FVY66 I wish you the best of luck. I hope you don't need to test the theory that your savings hold out for a year because your back to work at a better place as quickly as you want to be.
I wish we had enough saved up to so that I could do that. But we have too many health issues in the family. Be sure to keep us lil-guys in your thoughts when you do start a new place, let them know where a big pool of hard working and dedicated people can be found and easily pulled from!
@rbu+1w0FVY66 congratulations. Your family will appreciate it and you will not regret being there for them. And Frank or anyone here is not your family. You are following DEIon's advice from the locker room. Good on ya.
Congratulations on making a difficult decision. I hope your next job is a very different experience.
Good luck. I hope you are critical to your department and the company pays the price. Go find something better and take your best people with you.
Senior Director level, Berkeley Heights. Just put my notice in. No job lined up but last day is 12/30/24. Husband was probably soon to divorce me as I never see him or our kids. I usually eat dinner alone during the week. We have saved enough thankfully that we should be good for at least one full year.
You have to own your destiny.
