Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

How likely that Account Executives will be laid off?

Seems like everyone is in agreement that the TAMs will be laid off. What about the account executives/sales reps? Is it likely they will be impacted too, and if so, to what extent?

Any word on partner channel supporting roles? Enablement, partner program?

AEs will walk through the same door out as the TAMs do and the CSMs already did a while ago. ATS are taking over all customer facing jobs.

Remember TK's first and most important rule: 80% of the revenue done by 20% of the customers.
Now, this doesn't mean 20% of the customers of each country: most of them are in USA. In EMEA, most countries have maybe 3 or 5 customers in this list of the 20%, and have just 1 last AE. And you cannot fire him/her because you need him/her to announce that the maintenance has increased, to send the bill on due date and listen to the customers complaining about the lack of support. And you cannot outsource that: you need someone fluent in the country's language.
Now I see technical consultants and pre-sales from Integration partners saying they are not proposing Citrix anymore, and CSPs who have lost their status, so I gess there will be less and less partners, and thus less AEs needed to work with partners.

Why do they need AEs? They really don't want new customers.
