Hardwork and qualifications work in professional athletics..Notice the natural amount of diversity in athletics where hard work and talent really matters. Objective criteria can't be faked in athletics.
Corporate America is buddy boot kissing. This is why so many incompetent leaders are obsessed with sports. They think they are just as good as professional athletes and pretend they put in the same amount of "work". Replace these leaders with a paper bag and the numbers would be the same or better. In sports you really have to be good. Here you kiss boots, lie, pretend, in most cases make the company worse, and get promoted.
Very true. Have seen this first hand and feel sorry for the employees who feel this is a way to save their job.
