Omnissa pay raises - what a joke

Worst ever pay raise ever in my career last year. No pay raise this year. Meanwhile cost of living is sky rocketing. I guess Omnissa really don’t care about keeping people. It’s obvious this is to make people leave without having to pay severance. Problem is, the wrong people are going to leave. Good people can find jobs elsewhere easily, coasters are the ones that will stay.

"Your first line supervisor should have reiterated this in case you were not paying attention to the emails and town halls where it was mentioned."

You are either an Omnissa HR peon, or a hapless a-s-kisser. Shut up, go away!

Sounds like a personal, possibly first line supervisor issue. It was clearly stated multiple times that raises were going towards folks below market avg pay. Consider how folks that got raises feel! It means they’ve been under paid for multiple years based on market avg.

Your first line supervisor should have reiterated this in case you were not paying attention to the emails and town halls where it was mentioned.

If people would understand that our industry pays good even when it pays bad and live BELOW their excess means, lack of a pay increase wouldn’t be such a big deal. At least you weren’t laid off yet.

Go look on glassdoor for any other company that KKR owns. There are numerous complaints that there are no yearly pay increases. Whatever upper management is saying about the likelihood of increases next year, expect them to continue to be small or zero.

I got 0. Do folks really think this is current market rate or is this a sign to pack up and leave?

Be thankful that pay decreases were not on the cards! Lots struggling elsewhere and VMware folk were already well paid with solid benefit packages compared to the market. If the pay rise was so terrible try head out to the real world jobs market, get out of the bubble! The party was over last year! Many of our colleagues suffered a 100% pay decrease in the last 12 months.

Not trying to be mean here, just trying to bring a bit of realism.

Pathetic raise last year, no raise this year. All the while my manager has been telling us that raises are coming. Now he is telling us to just wait 6 more months. What a crock of sh-t. Shankar and the entire management team are misleading people. They could at least give us a cost of living increase. If something doesn’t change soon lots of good people are going to leave. Wake up Omnissa!

Pay in tech has decreased in list price if you go look at a similar job to what you have. That's if you can even find a job with the job losses in the sector. So are they being unfair or matching the market? 🤷‍♂️

That said, it's expensive to hire new people and train them and competency, work ethic, and collaboration are not always fully gauged in an interview, so 👋

Omnissia got pay raise? Why? No vmware got pay raise this year.

Only the lowest paid. If you are inside your pay band, even only just, there was no pay increase.

Omnissa is a joke. Life boat given to few legacy employees while mothership sent to scrap yard. It will be doomed soon. Same old cabal who advocated two ERPs for vmw. Bunch of jokers.

They will be writing in their resume

Reduced team by 80%
Increased revenues by 2%
Increased prices 10x
Reduced customers by 50%. Ooops. Scratch that. Customers were very happy.

Wonder what these high caste leaders tell themselves? How do they live with themselves?

"I guess Omnissa really don’t care about keeping people."

KKR wants people willing to work for less than the market rate. They prefer fearful employees who are always worried about losing their jobs. These are the keepers.

The high caste leaders will sacrifice us as part of a tantric ritual. KKR will go to heaven. The end.

KKR is trying to turn around a declining enterprise software business. We should not be surprised that they will continue to force Omnissa's leadership to cut costs and improve profitability. Nobody qualified will want to work here by choice in 2025. That's for sure.

Well, at least for those who already being paid at or above markets rates, as per Shankar's words

Do we believe Shenkar’s words?

Well, at least for those who already being paid at or above markets rates, as per Shankar's words. Or anyone thought that there'd be spare money for everyone under a private equity firm who's just eager to receive money, not spending it :P

Benefit costs going up next year and now I have to pay for gas to go to the office 3 days a week. All just adding to the financial pressure.
