There are layoffs happening in ESG/CarbonBlack. Could you please share how many people were affected in your team?

I was laid off in December 2023. I didn't complain to Broadcom or Hock Tan. The issue was that Symantec's leadership lacked the ability to effectively lead the team and achieve its goals.
I was cut early in 2024. I'm not too bitter about it, but nevertheless, fuck you Hock Tan.

Once the EDR integration with Carbon Black is complete, there will likely be significant layoffs in the ESG team.
All little by little. I highly suggest preparing your resume and LinkedIn profile and update your work history to keep current. Stay as long as they can keep you so you are eligible for severance. Then you can easily transition to a new position. Sadly if your group had layoffs, you are not immune. Best to prepare ahead of time. Hock thinks you are a group of mercenaries and you can be used and disposed of.
At least 5 from my team, but we were already cut 40% from the August layoffs
