Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Looking ahead to 2025 any layoffs in the pipeline…

Does anyone think there may be new news on additional job cuts at the beginning of 2025. Or has everything been announced already. I doubt whether management is satisfied with the bloodletting so far….

There is already talk of reorg 2026. Unsurprisingly, they didn't get it right this time and are trying to fix it. Seriously.

Wael already said in a past interview that the 10 quarter sprint to cut OPEX does not end after 10 quarters. This just means cuts are ongoing or never ending. Cuts are the new annual norm.

Currently contracts & procurement is going through re org shortly, haven’t heard of trading & supply timeline.

IDT has another re org after current?

Upstream has just completed their reorg

Curious how pipeline has not been mentioned in any of the “re-orgs”

Wael is not done with layoffs until Shell’s total employees size is close to Exxon or Chevron!
