Yesterday was my last day at Discover, and it’s hard to put into words how bittersweet it feels. Reflecting on my time here, I’m deeply grateful for the challenges, growth, and connections that have shaped me both personally and professionally.
Leaving such an incredible team and a positive work culture, especially during a period of change, wasn’t an easy choice. Working within the Business Technology organization has been a rewarding experience, and I’ll truly miss being part of Discover.
Ultimately, I made the decision to move on due to uncertainty surrounding the merger and potential layoffs—I’m not one to wait around for severance pay. I can only hope it was the right call! If things don’t pan out with the Capital One deal, you might just see me back with my tail between my legs.
