They're forcing RTO because the world of corporate real estate was about to come crashing down due to companies not renewing leases on office space they no longer needed.

It's real simple. Banks told tech to stop destroying the value of commercial real estate. Tech is obliging.

Having been a solutions and delivery consultant out in the field, my customers would ask me why Dell was doing this after spending the past six years promoting, selling, and delivering solutions for remote workers through COVID, changing work environments, and work cultures. Due to our managements lack of being able to put together a story for us in the field to communicate to our customers when asked about this, they have provided NOTHING. So, my only explanation to my customer is our managements incompetence, which at least they could understand.

If they are backfiring, it's only because too few people are quitting on their own for their liking

It's working to cull the herd while destroying the business

I think it’s more about elitism than money with these maniacs - they care more about control then outcomes

@eyr+1vuN1tEY He does touch on that in the video. "One third of HR execs surveyed stated that RTO mandates are for the purpose of a soft layoff."

BS. They’re doing RTO for stealth layoffs, not RTO or anything else strategic.
