- I see that IT has now fixed the (contractor alert) email address issue for all those off shore order management team members from the Philippines. Now sales will never be the wiser, with their orders are being entered & processed off shore through Business Process Services.
For PPS the last 2 weeks are dead weeks. Only installations that will complete and receive customer sign off will have people working. With that said, most installations will complete mid month of December.
That gives HR time to execute the timing then so that the 2 weeks ending the year will make sure January will not have the overhead of the variable spend of those impacted.
I would say that Canon would not do this but given how the executive team and HR rolled out the last RIF, I would not put it past them. The last one was post 4th of July, this one will be post Thanksgiving.
@6uew+1vuC4aWm who is off for this long holiday? Most of us aren't even allowed to take time off the last two weeks of the year at Canon.
@6qzl+1vuC4aWm no way would they do it on an 'in office' day unless everyone is getting laid off....
Knowing them, they will do it on Christmas Eve, even though it’s a company holiday. They’ll make everybody login and Kobayashi will be dressed up like Santa. “Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas, thank you for your service, but here’s your pink slip and a lump of coal. Now scram you peasants!”
Very convenient before all are gone for the long holidays.
Yes, just heard 12/16
Dec 15th is a Sunday?
No I haven't heard of any LO's
