FedEx is laying off some workers, the company confirmed late Wednesday, though it’s not clear how many or in what roles.

Some FedEx employees in the Memphis area said they knew first-hand that local workers were affected.

These are IT Professionals , so nothing to do with sorting or jobs that would be union represented.
The word is, 300 IT professionals, including me

UPS Union has language written in to protect them but FedEx employees are not Union so they have nothing.

Layoffs one week after massive 1.5 billion auto package sorting center in Memphis completed. Apparently they are relying heavily on robo/automation and not humans. A big mistake as humans are not hackable and do not rely on electricity to work. Machines only make a business the servant to the manufacturer or seller. FedEx is just a buyer/ customer of a product that has high odds of failing and costing a fortune to repair or update. Bait and switch product.
