Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

There is an exclusive group, its private and the membership is very limited.

Very picky on who’s let in. You have to be vouched for by someone already on the inside.
Mafia style…lol. This group consists of employees or ex-employees spanning different sectors. In this group, they review each others resumes, do mock interviews and try to use their network to help each other out on either finding jobs or finding BETTER jobs.

What’s a point of interest is that they also circulate ignore lists of companies to not give the time of day much less consideration for pursuing employment. Mainly companies that either:
a.) provide marginal pay for the job listings<- - -Insert Citi here.
b.) make you go on 5 interviews then ghost you.<- - -Insert Citi here.
c.) hire you for a job and when you get there, do the ole switch-a-roo and have you do something totally not in scope laid out in the interview.

For my location, there are 7 companies on that list and Citi is one of them. Placed there by people who interviewed with Citi.

So I go into work and read email after email or meeting after meeting mentioning as one of the points of topics of “its hard to find good people”, “we make an offer and they turn it down” etc… I just smile and keep my mouth shut and nod my head.

Just to be clear, this group includes some internal employees, and employees at other companies, post graduates and some laid off looking for employment.

Don’t bother asking for details or specifics on location, not gonna happen. Sorta stupid to even post all this when I think about it I guess. Its not like its going to change anything. I mean, Citi can’t even retain the talent they have much less draw in new talent.
