Check on your severance status

Just called the Employee Center to check on the status of the severance payment, the person couldn't find my name in the list. However, I emailed it on November 1st and l even received a confirmation email that they received it. I really hope they stop their shenanigans and make these severance payments timely. Otherwise, they will be in the news.

I submitted my severance agreement on 11/1. I called this morning and was told that my severance is scheduled for this Friday, 11/22.

Apparently the persons that answer the phone don’t have status until payroll post some updates. Regardless, they should not say “ we have not received anything.” They need to speak up clearly. So much ambiguity. Messed up! Keep offering these jobs to offshore when we have so many individuals in USA needing a job.

Work through the prompts until you can verify identify with employee is and last four of ssn. The bean counters update status on Monday. Pay periods are bi-weekly. Use your time wisely in how you follow up.

I was laid off 09/26. still waiting on my severance. I sent my stuff 09/27. didn't hear anything, so I followed up and finally got a confirmation 10/24 that they got it, but it says 2 - 3 pay periods. do the math. that's 4 - 6 weeks AFTER they acknowledge you exist and they promised to send you money to live on 'til you get hired somewhere else. no worries, fellas. my power company is SUPER understanding when I don't pay my bills.....

Mine was rejected because they "couldn't read it." I printed it out then faxed it at the public library since I don't have a scanner nor fax machine at home. I then scanned it to myself for saving just in case. I sent it via email from the scanned file but I wouldn't be surprised if they come back again and reject it because they "can't read it."

This is the exact same for me. I emailed the agreement on 11/1, received the confirmation email. When I called to check the status they couldn’t find my name either.
