December 9th is the date I'm hearing for IAM 751 WARN notices.

Union-wise, layoffs are regulated by seniority, not merit. Unfortunately, that ultimately translates into keeping some of the worthless senior types over the hungry younger ones willing to learn the equipment.

Just the beginning of what will ultimately be 100% layoffs.

They should make the machinists the full 17000 getting laid off

Obviously... 17000 doesn't add up if you just cut 10% in the other groups... So machinist need to chip in people

Good riddance, local employers wont touch them. Everyone knows they are seriously lazy employees.

IAM is rarely exempt from layoffs. 737 line is currently way over staffed. They can lay off and call them back in about a year.
