Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Is ISG AT risk of being closed down or sold off?

Much talk currently about changes coming to ISG in April.

Dell employee here that normally lurks:

The fact that y'all still have a data center portfolio is pretty wild. When I was at a reseller a few years back NOBODY touched Lenovo DC gear. I mean, who would voluntarily let the CCP into their enterprise infrastructure?

Something is definitely brewing. Big reorg without explanation of roles. New groups that pop up. Clearly numbers need improvement in ISG...but not sure who's leading the big boats turnaround

I’m in services. We have a new director out of India who’s hiring at least 60 of his fellow countrymen for services and managed services roles. ISG SSG or whatever is called these days is looking to save money. I just hope Lenovo offers another voluntary layoff package like they did in 2015

ISG just announced that it lost money again last quarter. Might this lead to any changes?

In August, we were asked to submit a very detailed skills assessment in an ISG tool. We are in IDG, so it seemed pretty weird. We were given 24 hours to do it and management was extremely pushy to get it done.
