To the people that attend the meetings, what are your key takeaways and predictions for Jan 2025 & Q1 2025 in terms of redundancies based on prev experience?

If there is an expected ratio between people in the US/UK and people in Pune/KL—and there probably is—then there are two ways to achieve it:
- Reduce the number of people in the US/UK
- Hire more people in Pune/KL
It is of course a combination of both
With that in mind, I hope their trip is to achieve the latter
i don’t usually join these calls but i caught the last one and was quite gutted by some of the comments YG and VB made about trips to india. YG has not impressed me at all and while VB seems alright he could do with a bit of leadership training to be honest. fair play to him though he stepped up and took on all the tough questions which is more than can be said for the rest of leadership who seem to just be along for the jolly. i was a bit gobsmacked to hear we have so many data managers with bp instead of outsourcing. guessing they will look to pune to level things out in addition to shipping other roles.
Data roles are moving to KL and Pune…. Put on your seatbelts if based in US or UK.

DA&AI is certainly going through a very odd patch. The leadership are probably the most inexperienced in BP and seem clueless. Today they were bragging about their special business travel to bulk hire in KL to a call full of US/K people who don’t know if they will have a job come January. And the call prior they also promised there would be no redundancies. Bizzarre behaviour.
The LT already have numbers of BP badged folks in DAAI and they are recruiting at least 30 roles in TSI and KL...what that means is at least 30 people will lose their jobs in January.
