They should bring those back. Sometimes minor issues can be broached and more work gets done.

Conducting a survey would indicate that they actually might care about your opinion or what you think. Actions speak louder.
They won't. They know they've destroyed morale and the culture. And they don't give a damn. Not even for one fleeting second. As an employee you are a liability to be used up and disposed. There is no longer a shred of humanity left in this company.
