Did everyone who got laid off get the Microsoft Office expiration email?
Not sure about retail, but SDS sure is.

Architect in SDS eComm, just short of 10 years and crazy busy until the end -- feel for the technicians that remain.
12 years at Staples. Good performance, never had any bad reviews, great relationship with my manager.. my manager was notified just before I was notified. Felt like I am thrown out like garbage after 12 good years, was told by my boss's boss it is my last day today on zoom and my computer access would be taken away in an hour. No more information was given. No questions were answered. No idea why me but other others in the team. Does anyone know how decisions are made on who goes and who stays? Salary? People work remotely?
21+ years of my life dedicated to this company and let go in the bat of an eye. This company has turned into a total fraud. Total sham. And they won’t look you in the eye and tell you why - I understand that legally they have to be careful what they say, but really? 21 years and don’t let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out? FU. If you are one of the one’s left - you’re not lucky - it’ll eventually happen to you . Get out while the getting’s good.
How are all these people being laid off when we have double roles at the c and v level roles across the business. Makes no sense. Shows that there is no real change and that the same cycle will keep repeating.
Coworker. 20 years with the company, excellent performer. A real go to person for issues. Shown the door. Staples is the worst. Yet unproductive regionals, dms, and corporate kiss as--s, yeah you jay peek, can stay
Sr Software Engineer let go on the SDS side, no warning or performance issues, after 6 years. bummer.
Has nothing to do with reviews uts about lack of sales

Gotta love it. No notice or success plan. No attendance issues. Didn’t cause problems. Still was completing work. Then Microsoft closes^ and after resolving that a director who doesn’t know my team’s job schedules a meeting. Zero feedback given on what went wrong. Performance was fine in previous role so could’ve just stayed in that. What a sham.
Got the can today at corporate after several years of great reviews. Good luck to all those impacted!
