Tariffs are more effective than corporate welfare, which mostly results in facilities being built with insufficient end demand, destined to generate future losses.

Statists believe that central planners can direct investment efficiently. That works in the very short term then becomes a quagmire of malinvestment. Exhibit A: China.

The CHIPS act is done. Anything favored by the current administration will be discarded by the new administration. Excr-ment will hit the fan world-wide when China creates a blockade around Taiwan and the West has done nothing to bolster manufacturing.

That's not true.

They both agreed: No tax on tips.

Ohio project is a parking lot and without demand for products it will stay that way no matter what sort of tax breaks are finagled.

Politicians are as delusional as Intel except they actually were voted in and Intel is but a d1-k rider on a company called IBM. Talk’s cheap remember rear view mirror?
