Typically the "contractors" are first to go during layoffs but apparently leadership figured a loophole. By retitling the "contractors" to "suppliers" the "suppliers" may be exempt from the layoffs.

Non-union site; 2 blue badges (1 with 26 years) got their notices today but so far none of the 6 "suppliers" in their department (same manager) got a notice.
This is bull.
What Boeing sites is this happening at?
If its Seattle, SPEEA contract with Boeing states clearly contractors must be let go first.
So, is this contract rule being enforced or not?
