I got a nice coffee buzz in the morning, but by afternoon reality set into my cubicle and the dire situation lead to a headache and depression.

The beatings will continue until moral improves.

My morale will be boosted when the failing ELT is replaced, starting at the top. They can keep the handouts, I'd rather they start with a meaningful gesture, one that'll actually help the company. In PTD, most of us are tired of working for arrogant failures who, year after year, lead us astray. The rest don't care so long as their payday keeps coming.

It’s a sign of good faith that basic coffee and tea were restored. It helped my moral as they did listen eventually.

The only thing that would restore my morale is seeing a large amount of worthless senior managers get the boot.

No effect. Have been drinking home-made coffee, no matters company coffee is free or not.

Intel is still over by 20,000 heads or about $3 B... So what if they waste another $100 M a year on coffeee... it's not like Intel cost structure will ever be able to compete with TSMC anyway.

Are any of you actually employed here? They said free coffee won't be reinstalled until around Q2 2025 in the QGS. It's not "back" yet by any means.

Come on people. It's FREE COFFEE what's the big deal!?! Drink it or don't. Quit using every little thing you don't like as 'proof' that something is a big deal and another tragedy in your lives. In the scheme of things this is nothing to work yourselves up over. Yes, there's things wrong with the company, the country, the world. So what, there's never ever been a time when there wasn't something wrong. If you don't believe me read a few good history books and you'll learn the truth of what I'm trying to say here.

People here are extremely lucky. We seem to being doing more damage to ourselves by constantly complaining and ripping everything apart over very little. It's become a national sickness that you need to heal yourself from.

We are fortunate. Build yourselves and build something worthwhile. Do it here or do it somewhere else.

Just enjoy the free coffee.

I truly wish you all well and continued good fortune.

They should have never brought in that perk in the first place. They instilled this program in the middle of a layoff for those who may remember. Just one of NT’s attempts to keep up with the cool companies at the time.

What about the people who don't drink coffee and have had to by their own red bull, monster or other brands of energy drinks? They never got a free hand out and you didn't hear them complaining like a bunch of spoiled children.

The only reason I keep working at Intel is to see my old backstabbing managers scream in pain because of no free coffee or fruit. Now there's no reason to stay.

It’s weird this made national news. It is a perk. There are so many other issues or things that could have made it to national news but this? It
makes us seem childish

People drink too many caffeinated beverages. They were inadvertently improving your health by removing a free endless supply.

It will do nothing. People just like to complain when things are taken away from them. It was a Perk. Not in the offer letter stating you'll get free coffee during employment. People use that as an excuse for their job performance

Either way, it doesn't change the fact that the technology progress / business is not where it should be. How much can coffee cost anyway ?

I told a friend about this and showed them the cnn article and they thought it was a prank or joke. That free coffee would such big news and a company highlight. It is amateurish

If you haven’t questioned management before the earnings disaster, you have a very low IQ.
Like, you seriously need to have your head examined by professional staff.

It doesn't take this to make me question management. I already know the are incompetent.
