Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Simply sad.....

When you think about what this company once was and now is. Amazing was what used to follow any discussion related to a Walgreens and its people, culture, and value as a company. So many talented people over the years gave their time and energy without hesitation, because it meant something.....and because they meant something to the company. Then came Stefano, Roz, Tracey, Holly, Danielle, and Hsiao. Combined with a Board who has simply slept at the wheel and has only been focused on self promotion, this company collapsed. When you pay your executives like Roz or even now Tim millions and millions of dollars, yet freeze employee salaries and eliminate bonuses you are doomed. This company has failed. It's lost its soul. I'd like to think it can recover, but when you see Tracey Brown still employed, Board members like Jan Babiak and Valerie Jarret being re-elected, and individuals such as Neal and his gang of misfits making beacoup $$$ yet delivering nothing....a recovery just doesn't seem possible. Sad.....an epic failure.

The tell was when Walgreens offered a cash incentive if you were exceeding expectations as a store manager paid out as long as you stayed 2 years. Guess what, I used that time to finish my degree and start a new career.

Walgreens is basically the Titantic and has been for some time. I consider myself lucky to have survived my terrible experience there.

But the staff at the stores Tracey Brown visits are always smiling in pictures so she must be very well-liked!

And that number one person would be Tracey Brown. Literally adds no value to the company. Everyone is ashamed of her, no one gets along with her, and not one significant contribution can be associated with her. Total waste of salary and benefits.......l.

@1epv+1vpCb19v You miss the point. Many of us have dedicated years of our lives to Walgreens. For us, it is sad to see Walgreens go down the tubes. Whether I am still employed with Walgreens or left for a different company, the sentiment is the same. Sadness about the current state of affairs at Walgreens.

What is sad is that people still stay with a company like Walgreens. Alot better opportunities out there, plenty. But some just complain they are underpaid and do nothing about it but complain about the pathetic top management and board.

Some who were brought in to turn the company around are milking Walgreens to benefit themselves and their friends and family. That is even sadder.
