The people are miserable that work there. The quality of life is horrible even if you are the CEO.

First American Financial will pay its former CEO up to $18 million after a cruise ship vacation brawl. This is how little FAF thinks of its employees. While one man receives in excess of $18,000,000 for bad behavior, FAF's employees receive pennies when FAF decides they are no longer needed (in some cases after working for FAF for the majority of their adult lives). More rot.

A branch manager died recently not long after she retired. She was sick for quite awhile and was with this company a long time. Ask questions about her and find out her sad situation.

If you were laid off from First American Financial consider yourself lucky, you dodged a bullet. First American treats their IT working class very poorly and the most competent among them have paid the highest price imaginable, with their literal lives, i.e., here one day, gone the next. The volume of work one is expected to perform coupled with the pace and the number of hours one is expected to work is abusive. In addition, many first line managers are the most narcissistic, self-serving, apathetic human beings ever put on the planet. Upper management is too far removed from the daily to understand what truly goes on. If you know what's good for you, stay far, far away from employment with this company.

Very cultish culture. Many employees in private conversations speak very poorly about other employees and the company.

If you got layed off you actually won. The people that have been there for along time are not happy and have paid a terrible price some worse than others. They paid a price while also su-king up.

This company has a history of frequent layoffs, typically occurring in the last quarter and first quarter of the year, seemingly to avoid paying bonuses and raises. Additionally, their IT department in India has faced criticism for poor performance, inefficient coding practices, and incompetent engineering managers, which is typical.

Sad to admit this but top comment is right. Place is a sh-t show. I got laid off with many others on the agency side as a IT engineer. Severance was a joke. Whole shared services model they have been trying to implement is a fkin disaster.

If anyone is working at first American, it’s bc you are d-mb! This is truly the worst company ever to work for, if you are working at first America it’s bc you have no other option. Things truly the worst company I have ever worked for. I left very fast as others stayed and got let go. The only thing promised to employees at first American is layoffs
