Anyone know when those that were laid off can expect to receive their severance? Does it really take 2-3 pay periods? I submitted my papers November 1st.

late replay here but I got my severance with my last paycheck along with my ESOP money returned
I was laid off on August 1st and received my severance payment on August 16th.
They rejected mine because they "couldn't read it" from my printout. I had to fax it from the public library because I don't have a scanner nor fax machine at home. I did also scan it to myself at the same time because I didn't trust them and I sent that scanned copy in reply to their rejection but I wouldn't be surprised if that one comes back rejected due to not being able to "read."
I totally understand, because I am struggling going 1 pay period, with no pay, never mind 2 or 3. I submitted papers on 11/1, I called last Friday (11/8) to see if there was an estimated payout date and they could not give me one. Not to mention it’s around the holidays when everyone’s expenses always increase due to the holidays.
Thank you for posting, I was going to ask the same thing! Filed on exact date of termination (11/1) and was SHOCKED to get an auto email back saying severance can take 2-3 pay periods. This is not what we were told by upper management. I cannot go a month much less a month and a half without getting paid. Frankly, this is BS.
it really depends. I submitted mine the day after I was laid off. I followed up 3 weeks later and they finally sent me confirmation they got it...and that it'll be 2-3 pay periods. if you haven't gotten a confirmation email saying, "yes we got it and we'll get to you when we feel like it," keep following up.
Laid off in May. Turned my paperwork in the morning of the day they said we could sign and got it in 2 pay periods.
I received my payout about 3 weeks after my last day.
