If your manager has to rank you or is asked to rank their employees….layoffs are coming. If you are a manager or director and you are asked to rank employees, someone is getting cut. Buckle up….rankings are happening.

What kind of changes next week
Insider knowledge without context? Listen here you fu--ing cuck. That is the insider knowledge. We had to rank people. My good friend that got let go had to do it as well and the laid them off also. If your boss calls you family, you’re about to get cut.
What kind if changes next week?
dodging is not lucky
those who are left will have to carry the extra workload....minus the extra pay
i wouldnt call that lucky
“Insider knowledge” but won’t post anything else.
Are these happening in the retail stores? Or is this a corporate thing?
last year when this happened managers and up were required to rate everyone in their “core competencies” earlier in q3 of 2023. This was surely how they decided who stayed and who went.
This year it was a lot different, ratings went from FOUR down to THREE for q3 check ins, no core competence ratings as far as I know. Not sure what the person down below was referring to when they said 5 down to 4?
Yes, Q3 checkins required rating employees and they reduced the levels from 5 to 4 now. And it’s been heavily implied that the highest level is unattainable by most. Good luck everyone
It's November at Staples. Seems like a RIF in November has become standard practice. It's sad to witness a once great company that we were all proud to work for crumble. Good luck next week. At this stage I'm not sure if dodging the RIF is still considered lucky or not.
I can agree here. I had to rank my employees any they were let go with lowest rating then I was cut. Always over 100% too. It’s legal and they do not care.
Can they really fire you based on a ranking that your manager gives you? Is that legal?
Buckle up next week more changes happening
