ARDx tox division laid off 87 if my count was accurate. I was one of them. Their severance was much better than I’ve ever seen. That said 40+ years in the industry I’ve never been part of a large layoff. I’ve been singularly let go or “laid off” not because of performance, and Abbotts plan is the fairest.

Kansas City layoffs as well. I wonder just how many top brass are being laid off? They just parted ways with my daughter (single mother of 2) yesterday. She had now warning, no hints, and is quite distraught. Hope the big wigs enjoy their bonuses from laying off all the ones who helped them make money!!

Abbott labs just closed and laid off the entire R&D department in Maine, and laid off others as well.
