Do you think there will be Syngent layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

European transformation has just kicked off in Seeds R&D in Italy and is expected to be rolled out in other countries until the end of the year.
I am hearing it should be done by end of March. No cuts will happen to the St. Charles Mafia, the brain trust that got the business into this mess. "Employees are our greatest asset" is a crock of sh-t. Employees are a commodity to those buffoons.
110% true. 25% of the sales reps for Illinois were let go as of Monday March 10th and 100% of the ghx sales team were beginning to be let go on March 11th. This 5-10% reduction is a lie. It’s going to be closer to 30-40% by the time they are done!
15-20% of US workforce layoffs coming
Can confirm, today a whole department, at least 8 great guys - hard workers, some with up to 40 years dedicated to Syngenta, were let go from a site in the Midwest. Feb. 2025
very likely, I recently departed via job eliminations at end of December 2024... two separate work groups were combined and several headcount were eliminated. A good portion had to "interview" for the newly opened org roles to keep their jobs... decided to just leave rather than to participate in that. I believe it has been or will be announced that there will be further reductions likely in 2025 equivalent to 5-10% of total Seeds workforce.
