Is this going to be an interesting year as it relates to Kroger layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Who got laid off from KTD today?
The real issue here is once again our CEO is a money grubbing pile of garbage. Our stores look horrible, employees are miserable, and expectations are outdated. Kroger uses you until you have nothing left. My store is dirty, carts all broken down, never any registers open, and just poorly run. You go to Publix and see happy employees, clean stores, and stores that seem Waaaaaay more hygienic than Kroger. I remember a few years back when they had us use lable makers and tag everything. Our backrooms are a jumbled bunch of trash. Our main freezer has product since 1975 in them, and our local " corporate" staff here in Atlanta couldn't find their a-s with both hands and GPS.
Tons of Albertsons employees posting layoffs in their thread.
Did anyone else feel like that last KTD town hall was quite telling that remote folks aren't in a good position this year?
Where is this news coming from (beyond interpretations of signals all employees see like the hiring freeze etc)? I understand the anonymous nature of this forum but is there a way we can get more context on wether this information is fact (something that has been explicitly discussed, or something that has been heavily alluded to) or interpretation?
What are the teams most at risk with Data?
Oh :/ I am assuming 84.51 counts as a data team?
The amount of money lost from the merger will result in the same expected layoffs and increased workload for remaining Kroger Technology employees. I’d find other opportunities before you’re stuck with unemployment. Data teams will be some of the first to go.
Is there still a threat for Kroger Teach and 84.51 employees? Is the failure of the merger a good thing in terms of layoffs?
Now that the merger has failed, will that June 2025 date we saw be used to force remote technology associates to relocate or quit?
Major cuts coming at Kroger Technology, especially in data / data engineering.
