Brought in a pile of “VPs” - lots of AEP folks… decimated customer service which tells us everything we need to know. My boss was here close to 25 years. The guy who actually put people first and worked Sun up to Sun down. And did the job his boss takes credit for. We all know it. Everyone in the Ohio community loves him. And they walked him out of here like nothing. It made me sick.

Severance was pay until April 30th, and no they aren’t paying out your time. My teams was the same way, people trying to ping me about active work. They send you an email with some resources in it.

Offer a severance package, what was it, pay out unused vacation?

Got the email. Advised that I am not expected to work today. Still hear my laptop pinging with Teams messages. Guess someone else will have to answer them.

For those who might have already had their meeting this morning, dare I even ask what "information and resources to aid the transition" were provided?

A less than 5 minute meeting to inform me that my position has been eliminated, thanks

It doesn’t seem like there was any rhyme or reason to who was let go, in a department of 13 people we lost 2, good luck with that work load

My supervisor just poof disappeared today. Best person I ever worked for at this place and had been here forever.

As someone who got the meeting invite, if you don’t get anything yet you’re likely okay. My supervisor didn’t even know he was losing people.

Apparently we will find out who will be laid off today (3/25). May the odds be ever in your favor.

Does this include contract employees or just First Energy staff?

Why is 30% a layoff target?

They need to fire all the damn new Vice Presidents they've recently hired.

4% reduction of staff. I’m not sure if this includes bargaining unit employees. If not, much higher than 4% for non bargaining unit employees.

The person saying 30% obviously doesn’t work for FE or they would know that a lot of depts are already as lean as they can be and it’s a struggle to hit regulatory requirements as it is.

Pack your bags. Brush up your resume. 4% is just the start. We need more like 30%
