Thread regarding Ascension Health layoffs

Early Retirement?

They don’t give us enough time to thinking about this. If we don’t accept are they going to just terminate us? How many are they looking to get rid off

Looks like they pulled the trigger on this as I noticed several 55+ Ascension Technologies change their status on LinkedIn.

Is that 'around the water cooler heard' or 'from a super extra-reliable source heard'?...asking for a friend.

In regards to retirement, it was 6 months of payments (bi-week checks). I think it would be 18 months of COBRA and not any longer. That is the way I interpret it. I would not think they would throw that 18 months then coming up lower. It would stop a lot of people to even consider to be honest. Maybe, I am wrong

IT at least - 55 years old + years of servitude >65. Then you get at least several months of salary and something about COBRA where you have to select it and they pay "up to 18 months". So maybe 6 in reality. Make your decision in the next two weeks. Not much of an offer at all. I would get that sticking it out until outsourced again possibly in 2025.

If you didn't get the email, you're not eligible.

What areas are receiving early retirement? What are the guidelines to be eligible?
